You should consider the avenue open to you in your local market to meet new people and to generate more referrals. Referrals are not just something for your fellow RE/MAX agent but a huge source of business over and beyond the RE/MAX network.
Look to business network groups in your locality such as BNI. There are opportunities in every market. Networking is not a dirty word or a thankless task but an opportunity to really lift your earning potential. Business that is referred to you is easy business. fees are not an Issue you don't have to hard sell your services, someone has actually recommend you.
Ask yourself what business can be done by
Complementary business - Mortgage advisor's, solicitors, surveyors etc
Other business - Builders, carpenters, carpet fitters, Double glazing companies.
The list is endless. So think practically about how you are going to connect with these groups and how you will stay in regular contact.
The main rule on networking and referred business is to make sure you look after that client and give the best service you can, that way you will ensure repeat business and more recommendations from the same source.
